Erwin Maas has extensive experience in the international performing arts academic world. As an adjunct-professor, director, instructor and workshop leader, he has worked at numerous academies and universities around the world, including; University of Amsterdam, Columbia University / Barnard College, Royal Conservatoire The Hague, Kunsthochshule Berlin Weißensee, Manhattanville College, University of Technology Sydney, Hamilton College, and the Fontys Academy of Dramatic Arts Tilburg.
Erwin has been a frequently invited guest speaker & lecturer at renowned universities such as; Yale School of Drama, NYU TISCH School of the Arts, Georgetown University, Theaterschool Amsterdam, Trinity Rep at Brown University, Carnegie Mellon University, and Escuela de Cine de Barcelona. He also served as a consultant, guest speaker and expert on panels for numerous organizations, conferences and festivals, inlcuding; The ISSUE Project Room, Department for Cultural Affairs Los Angeles, National Theater Institute at The O'Neill Theater Center, American Performing Arts Presenters (APAP), International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA), International Performing Arts for Youth (IPAY), Under the Radar Festival/Culturebot NYC, Fusebox Festival Austin and the Fulbright / Netherland-America Foundation.
